Regional Workshop on Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Framework, Teachers’ Satisfaction and Motivation

SEAMEO Regional Training Center (SEAMEO RETRAC) in collaboration with SEAMEO Secretariat organized the Regional Workshop on Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Framework, Teachers’ Satisfaction and Motivation in Southeast Asia on 18-19 April, 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City. This is an Inter-Center Collaborative Project with the sponsorship from SEAMEO associate member countries.

The workshop was a forum for educators in the region to discuss on the following issues: the implementation of Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Framework, factors affecting teachers’ satisfaction, and solutions to improve teachers’ satisfaction and motivation in Southeast Asia. Participants of the workshop included leaders from Department of Teachers and Educational Administrators – Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, SEAMEO Secretariat, diplomatic corps from SEAMEO member and associate member countries in Ho Chi Minh City, departmental leaders from Ministries of Education in Southeast Asia, and international educational experts and teachers.
