YLE Teacher Training Workshop on “Preparing Students for Cambridge English Young Learners”
On May 09, 2013, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a training workshop on how to teach English skills effectively to prepare young learners to the Cambridge Young Learners English Tests-YLE at Starters, Movers, and Flyers levels at the Center’s premises.
Nearly 250 expatriate and Vietnamese instructors who are teaching at SEAMEO RETRAC, and primary schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc and Can Tho, attended the training. At the workshop, Mr. Kim Pilger, a specialist from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, conducted classroom demonstrations to illustrate the teaching and learning activities and testing techniques for teachers. The workshop provided teachers with new experiences and practical hints to teach young learners at Starters, Movers, and Flyers levels more fruitfully.
