The welcome ceremony also had the presence of the representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam and the Consulate General of the Philippines, the Center’s leadership, teaching faculty and all staff members. The delegation was briefed on the Center’s activities of 2010 and plans for action in 2011 and beyond in which emphasis will continue to be placed on such major activities and services as educational management and leadership, ICT, teaching and learning methods, and quality assurance and accreditation in education.
The President congratulated on the Center’s achievements, especially its efforts in the international cooperation with Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, as well as collaboration with SEAMEO regional centers such as RELC (Singapore), INNOTECH (Philippines), SEAMOLEC (Indonesia), RIHED (Thailand). The President suggested the Center should continue to strengthen its international collaboration, including cooperative joint ventures with Filipino institutions and organizations in order to become one of the leading training centers in the region.
In his visit, H.E. Bro. Armin A. Luistro FSC also had a meeting with Dr. Bui Van Ga, Vice Minister, MOET, at the MOET Representative Office. The discussion emphasized the activities and services the two countries can strengthen in the near future.
