At the invitation of British Council, Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong, SEAMEO RETRAC Acting Director, visited the United Kingdom to attend the international conference Going Global 2012 from March 13-15, 2012.This year, the conference drew the participation of around 1,500 delegates from over 80 countries, making it the biggest ever forum for higher education leaders. Among them were more than 500 university presidents, vice-chancellors and sector leaders. At the conference, besides joining interesting sessions, Dr. Phuong presented a paper entitled “Empowering Women in Higher Education Leadership” in a panel discussion. The event was also a good opportunity for the Center to expand cooperation and partnership.
