Visit of H.E. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Luan, SEAMEO Council President cum Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam and the Delegation
On February 13, 2015, H.E. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Luan, SEAMEO Council President cum Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam and the Delegation paid their visit to SEAMEO RETRAC.
At the welcome ceremony, Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong, SEAMEO RETRAC Director, briefed the President and the Delegation on the Center’s accomplishments since 2010 and plans for action in upcoming years and beyond in which emphasis would continue to be placed on such major activities and services as, educational management and leadership, SEAMEO College, the National Foreign Language Project 2020, research projects, ICT, teaching and learning methods, and quality assurance and accreditation in education.
The President congratulated on the Center’s achievements, especially its efforts in the international cooperation with Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar, as well as collaboration with SEAMEO regional centers. The President suggested that the Center continue to strengthen its international collaboration, including cooperative joint ventures with international institutions and organizations in order to become one of the leading training centers in the region. On this occasion, the President also planted a tree at the front yard of the Center in memory of his visit.
