4th Annual International Conference on TESOL: “English Language Learning: A Focus on the Learner”

International Training Course “Capacity Building in Leadership and Management for Higher Education”
From August 26 to 29, 2013, SEAMEO RETRAC organized the training course in educational leadership and management for 34 educational leaders and administrators from colleges and universities in Lao PDR, Cambodia and Vietnam. Graduation Ceremony of the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics Program – Intake 09 (2012 – 2013)
On August 28, 2013, the ninth batch of students of the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics Program, jointly provided by Curtin University and SEAMEO RETRAC, celebrated their graduation. Enrolled in this intake were 43 teachers of English from Vietnam and the USA. The program has so far recruited 466 candidates. The tenth and eleventh intakes are now in progress
Training Courses for Teachers of English in Provinces

Training Workshop on Designing Interactive e-Materials
SEAMEO RETRAC organized a training workshop on “Designing Interactive e-Materials” for teachers of English for universities/colleges on August 02, 2013. The objective of the training workshop was to infuse teachers with basic ICT skills for designing interactive lectures in their English teaching. Over 30 teachers of English participated in the training workshop.
Summer Fun 2013
After four weeks in operation, the Summer Fun 2013, co-organized by Queens College, City University of New York and SEAMEO RETRAC, concluded on July 26, 2013. Training Workshop on “Teaching Methods for Complete IELTS Series”
SEAMEO RETRAC in collaboration with the Cambridge University Press organized a training workshop on “Teaching Methods for ‘Complete IELTS’ Series” on July 22, 2013 at the Center’s premises. The training workshop was facilitated by Mr. Stuart Vinnie, Senior Training Consultant, Cambridge University Press.
