International Hands-on Workshop on E-learning
SEAMEO RETRAC in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) organized an International Hands-on Workshop on E-learning from January 05 to 06, 2012 at the Center. Vietnamese Teachers’ Day
On November 20, 2011, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a party to celebrate the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day at Palace Hotel Saigon. Joining this get-together event were teachers and the Center staff. This was an opportunity for the Center to express its sincere thanks to all the teachers who have been working for the development of the Center over the years.
Japan Education Fair
Japan Education Fair co-organized by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and SEAMEO RETRAC was held at the Center’s premises on November 17, 2011. 14 well-known universities in Japan and more than 300 participants attended the fair.
MOU Signing with Curtin University, Australia
On November 14, 2011, SEAMEO RETRAC signed an MOU with Curtin University, Australia, at the Center. In attendance were leaders and senior staff of the two institutions. The MOU will pave the way for the joint training, especially Master program in Education.
Canada – Vietnam International Mobility and Partnership Forum
On October 22, 2011, the Canada – Vietnam International Mobility and Partnership was co-organized by SEAMEO RETRAC, Vietnam Association of Community Colleges (VACC) and Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) at SEAMEO RETRAC. There were over 70 participants in the forum coming from different Canadian and Vietnamese community colleges. The forum focused on discussing and sharing experiences in developing models
UK Education Conference
At the invitation of British Council Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Huy Thinh, SEAMEO RETRAC Director, presented “University Graduates and the Mismatch between Education and the Labor Market” at the Vietnam – UK Education Conference on October 17, 2011. The conference focused on how to increase employability for university graduates and strengthen the partnership between the two higher education systems.
U.S. Alumni Conference on “Making a Contribution in Vietnam”
On October 14, 2011, SEAMEO RETRAC and the U.S. Embassy and the US Consulate General co-organized the U.S. Alumni Conference on “Making a Contribution in Vietnam.” The event brought together over 100 Vietnamese participants of U.S. Government exchange programs as well as Vietnamese alumni of American institutions.
