The Annual SEAMEO Center Directors Meeting took place on June 24-26, 2014 at S31 Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand with the purpose to review the organization’s operation within FY 2013/2014. US Overseas Seminar
On June 20, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a US overseas study seminar at the Center with the participation of more than 25 interested parents and students. At the seminar, a representative from Pierre College, Washington State, USA provided participants with necessary information including programs, entry requirements and services for international students.

Staff Retreat in Da Nang
SEAMEO RETRAC Labor Union organized a retreat for all staff in Da Nang from June 04 to 07, 2014. This trip was a great chance for SEAMEO RETRAC staff to take a rest after a long hardworking year as well as to reinforce the mutual understanding and cooperation among staff and between staff and management board.
Activities on Children’s Day
On June 01, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC organized meaningful activities for more than 2,400 students of Kiddy Programs to celebrate the Children’s Day. Celebrating International Children’s Day
On June 01, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC Labor Union celebrated International Children’s Day for children of the staff at the Center. On this special occasion, Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong, the Center Director congratulated the children on their excellent achievements in the academic year 2013-2014. The Visit of the Delegation from Michigan State University College of Education
On May 27, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC had a chance to welcome the delegation of 10 doctoral students from Michigan State University College of Education, headed by Dr. Todd W. Drummond. The primary purpose of their visit was to understand about SEAMEO RETRAC operations and to discuss the possible collaborations in the future.
Sharing Session on “Effective Use of ICT in the Language Classroom”
On May 14, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a sharing session on “Effective Use of ICT in the Language Classroom” for teachers of English at the Center. The session was shared by Mr. Khau Huu Phuoc and drew the participation of 20 teachers.

Training Workshop on “Designing Interactive Teaching Materials with Captivate”
On April 25, 2014, SEAMEO RETRAC organized a training workshop on “Designing Interactive Teaching Materials with Captivate” at the Center for 30 faculty members from universities and colleges. Training content involved the application of Captivate to design interactive lectures vividly and effectively.
