CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE COMMUNICATIVE ENGLISH COURSE FOR JOURNALISTS AND MEDIA PROFESSIONALS

SEAMEO RETRAC in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City organized the closing ceremony of the “Communicative English Course for Journalists and Media Professionals” at American Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a special scholarship program for individuals working at press agencies and media professionals from other organizations in Ho Chi Minh City.

The program is designed to help the target beneficiaries improve their English language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills. Simultaneously, they are also provided with the English language needed for their journalistic professionalism, which becomes crucial to their success in the modern media environment.

Dr. Ho Thanh My Phuong, SEAMEO RETRAC Center Director and Ms. Bintu Musa-Harry, Information Officer – US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City attended the event to congratulate the graduates.

The course lasted from September 2021 to February, 2022. 26 participants were eligible to receive the certificate of completion.
