The 33rd SEAMEO High Officials Meeting

The 33rd SEAMEO High Officials Meeting (HOM) was convened at the Sheraton Orchid Royal (Bangkok, Thailand) from November 22-24, 2010 with the participation of more than a hundred education officials and representatives from the 11 SEAMEO Member Countries, associate and affiliate members, and other international organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO Bangkok, the British Council, World Bank, SIL LEAD Asia and ASEAN Secretariat.


"Medal for Educational Achievements" Being Awarded to Professor David Wood

November 26, 2010, at SEAMEO RETRAC, on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Tran Ba Viet Dzung, Director General, International Co-operation Department, presented the Medal for Educational Achievements to Prof. Dr. David Wood, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Curtin University, Australia.


Celebrating the Vietnam Teachers’ Day

More than 150 SEAMEO RETRAC teachers and staff gathered at the Center’s International Hall on November 20 to celebrate the Vietnam Teachers’ Day.


Seminar on the Role of Motivation and Cognition in Assessment of 21st Century Skills

On November 19, SEAMEO RETRAC held a seminar on the Role of Motivation and Cognition in Assessment of 21st Century Skills for 40 university lecturers and administrators from higher education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City. 


Seminar on Overseas Study in the US

On 12 November 2010, SEAMEO RETRAC and USA Community College Consortium jointly conducted a seminar on overseas study for five community colleges from California, Washington, Philadelphia, Florida and Illinois.
